SEND Training

Training for supporting Children with SEND; external agency support
At our school, we are committed to making sure every child receives the support they need to thrive. A key part of this is ensuring that our staff are well prepared to meet a wide range of additional needs with confidence and care.
Staff receive ongoing training that is matched to the needs most commonly seen across the school. This helps us to build a strong understanding of strategies that support children with SEND in the classroom and around the school. When new needs are identified, further training is provided so that staff can respond quickly and effectively. This may include approaches to communication, sensory needs, social and emotional wellbeing, or supporting learning in specific areas.
Where external expertise is needed, our leaders work closely with a range of providers to secure the right support. This may involve specialist teachers, educational psychologists, therapists, health professionals or other professionals who can offer advice and guidance. By working together, we make sure that children receive the most appropriate support for their individual needs.
We believe that a joined-up approach helps every child to feel understood, supported and ready to succeed.
